"What a fabulous apartment! The location is perfect: less than 5 minutes from the train station and within easy walking distance of all the major historical, architectural, and cultural treasures of Florence. Not to mention, it is easy to walk to restaurants, cafes, and bars, as well as easy access to public transit if you want to venture further afield. You could not ask for a better location! And the apartment itself is beautiful and vintage.
The first thing one sees on entering the building is the exquisite statue of Madonna in the entryway, followed by the beautiful wide stairway leading to the apartment on the 3rd floor. On entering the apartment, you walk into a lovely, comfortable sitting area, with a desk for a computer with internet access. To your right is a large, well-furnished living room, which is a great place to hang out, read, converse, and drink Chianti after a long day. A stairway in the back leads upstairs to the laundry room and patio – a perfect place to enjoy nice weather and look out over the city. Off the living room is a charming kitchen, where we cooked and ate several meals. Which reminds me, I forgot to mention that it is a very short walk from the apartment to Florence's central market, San Lorenzo Mercato Centrale. The quantity, quality, and freshness of the food sold there is beyond anything I have ever experienced before or since. The meals we cooked ourselves rivaled meals served at many of the best restaurants.
The three bedrooms are all spacious and comfortable, with ample closet space. The apartment can easily accommodate six people. And what a pleasure having two full baths. We were all able to get ready to go out in the morning with a minimum of fuss.
In summary, I cannot imagine there is a more convenient, charming, spacious apartment available at such a reasonable price, anywhere else in Florence. I recommend it with great enthusiasm!"
